The Stubai valley is a true paradise for a wonderful hiking holiday in Austria. An almost limitless hiking network runs through the Stubai valley and the Stubai Alps, offering an unforgettable nature experience regardless of fitness, stamina and experience. Whether a stroll, a family hike, easy or demanding tours – a unique nature and mountain experience is guaranteed.

Hiking highlights include the Wilde Wasser Weg, the Sunnenseit'n Weg, the Stubai nature sites and mountain lakes, the Seven Summits Stubai and the Stubai High Trail. If you prefer to take it easier, use one of the four Stubai cable cars for the ascent or descent – included in the Stubai Super Card.

Whether a leisurely family outing or a demanding summit tour: everyone finds their path here. Gentle high-altitude trails lead along the alpine pastures, while experienced mountaineers find their challenge on the summits. Along the way, numerous staffed huts invite you to stop for a cosy break.

Mountain Biking

Mountain Biking

Mountain biking in the Stubai valley stands for enjoyment and ease, for wide views and unforgettable experiences. After all, the mountains can be conquered not only on foot: relaxed tours in the valley, challenging climbs and swooping descents provide plenty of variety on two wheels.

With an e-bike, even less trained cyclists reach great heights with ease. The mountain bike trails throughout the valley are designed and signposted according to the Tyrol mountain bike model. This makes orientation easier and ensures well-maintained, well-secured routes.

From the leisurely valley cycle path to demanding trails in alpine terrain, everyone finds the right route for their riding ability. Ideal for warming up in the valley first and then moving step by step onto more difficult terrain.

Climbing

Climbing

Hardly any other valley in Tyrol offers as many and as varied climbing opportunities as the Stubai valley. The high alpine landscape and ideal conditions make it a true paradise for everyone who loves to reach new heights.

Beginners are best off starting on one of the secured via ferratas or in the valley's well-protected climbing gardens. Those with more experience take on challenging alpine routes up to demanding multi-pitch climbs in the high mountains. In this way, the Stubai valley covers the entire range of difficulty.

A special experience for the whole family is the Adventure Park in Fulpmes. Tyrol's largest high ropes course offers 130 exercises across 13 courses, for children as well as ambitious athletes, and is ideal for taking your first steps with rope and harness.

Paragliding & Hang-Gliding

The exceptional thermals and the impressive mountain scenery make the Stubai valley a popular area for paragliders and hang-gliders. And who could resist a view from above of the Stubai Seven Summits and the other striking peaks?

The launch sites are mostly close to the mountain stations and easy to reach by cable car. This means experienced pilots can take to the air without a long ascent.

Newcomers get their money's worth too: several flight schools in the valley offer taster courses. Anyone who wants to experience the sport just once without steering themselves can book a tandem flight with an experienced pilot.

Running & Trail Running
