Apartment in Neustift im Stubaital

Central in the Kampl district – and yet quiet

Apartment in Neustift im Stubaital

Neustift is the largest municipality in the Stubai Valley and an ideal base for excursions in every direction. Casa Habicht is in the Kampl district, where short distances to everything the valley offers combine with a pleasantly quiet setting.

The Kampl district

Casa Habicht enjoys a quiet, central location in the sunny Kampl district of Neustift im Stubaital. The bus stop and a grocery shop are a one-minute walk from the apartments.

The Stubai Valley cycle path starts right next to the house. The landscaped lake with playground and sports facilities is a five-minute walk away – an obvious choice for an afternoon with children.

Together with Schönberg, Mieders, Telfes and Fulpmes, Neustift is one of the five villages of the valley. Distances between them are short, and you can explore the whole valley by bus without a car.

Getting around without a car

The four ski and hiking areas in the Stubai Valley – Stubai Glacier, Schlick 2000, Serleslifte Mieders and Elferlifte Neustift – are easy to reach with the free bus. The stop is a one-minute walk away.

Arriving by train and bus is particularly easy: public bus line no. 590 runs directly from Innsbruck main station into the Stubai Valley. Get off at the Neustift-Kampl stop and turn into Habichtsgasse right next to the school campus – from there it is a one-minute walk. The journey from Innsbruck to Kampl takes about 35 minutes.

For your arrival and departure between Innsbruck and Neustift-Kampl, the Stubai Tirol tourist board provides a voucher for one free use of bus line no. 590 in each direction. Important: a separate voucher for the outward and return journey must be created and printed for each traveller.

Neustift as your base

Away from the summits, the valley offers plenty too: the valley cycle path runs through the entire Stubai Valley with only moderate gradients, and the new Stubai cycle route 19 runs from Stefansbrücke to Falbeson. Bikes can be taken on most public transport in the valley.

For runners, the options range from flat valley paths to demanding high-altitude routes. The Stubai Ultratrail takes place in summer, and the Kalkkögeltrail in Telfes in autumn.

Climbers will find well-secured climbing gardens as well as alpine routes. With 130 elements across 13 courses, the Adventure Park in Fulpmes is the largest high ropes course in Tyrol and suits children and experienced climbers alike.
